The Aashahl and the Pali’andeo
Lineage, order of power, and descent · Miljah and the High Sun Realms
Drawn from the compendium, the printed appendix, and Heritage of Loss. Kindreds come into being two ways. Those Aashahl whom Anthos authorised to make kindreds created them, some dividing their own essence to do it, so that creator and created rise and fall together. The rest were sired — begotten by union, between Aashahl and Aashahl, or between Aashahl and mortals. The chart marks which is which. Dashed lines are unions, dotted lines fostering, patronage, or a descent the sources themselves call disputed. Tap any name for detail.

The Andeo Kindreds
Offspring of the Aashahl or of other beings of arcane power — of mortal and immortal lineage, or of two immortal beings. A name many of them resent.
Of Uncertain Descent
Figures the sources deliberately leave unplaced — where even the compendium will not say whether what it describes is Aashahl, kindred, or something else entire.
The Elemental Children of Miljah
Every being purely of the elements is a child of Miljah, descending from the spirit of the world itself rather than from Anthos or from any Aashahl. Every element has arcane spirit avatars that can manifest; those below are the kindreds the sources name.
The Pali'andeo
Exiles cast out of the divine order who took on the joy and bitterness of a mortal world, bore children, and became peoples after their own kind. Two acts cause the fall and no others: choosing to remain with children made without Anthos' authority, or siring kindreds upon mortals. A kindred is Pali'andeo because the one it came from fell.
